Carat-SAPPHIRE is Styleaudio’s newest model which was
designed under our new slogan of ‘Let’s make the only high end miniature.’ As
usual, Styleaudio took the verified parts from ‘SANYO OSCON’, ‘VISHAY DALE’,
‘JAPAN NISE’ for SAPPHIRE and PCM1792(A) of ‘Burr Brown’, CS8416 of ‘Cirrus
Logic. Also OPA827 from TI and OPA604 of Burr Brown are used for OPAMP part
with the very professional know-how of Styleaudio.
Highest pulse transformer from Scientific Conversion, toslink
terminal from Toshiba, custom made RCA plug and brass spike also help SAPPHIRE
to raise its artistic presentation. In order to minimize any interference
between digital-part and analog-part, Styleaudio took copper plate block and
24K gold coated PCB. Styleaudio believes all these efforts to achieve the most
value of SAPPHIRE.
MAIN DIGITAL DEVICE
The combination of PCM1792(A), Burr Brown and CS8416, Cirrus Logic is the main digital processing. It is sampling upto 24bit/192Khz as it is from digital input without any other forced up-sampling via the shorted path.
HEXAD OPAMP
SAPPHIRE is designed HEXAD OPAMP style which are combined
with three single OPAMP for each left and right analog out part, total six
single OPAMP. Styleaudio is using OPA604, Burr-Brown and OPA827 (different from
AD827) for HEXAD design and copper plate bock can isolate left and right for
balanced design.
CUSTOM BRASS SPIKE
Normally many DAC products have rubber foot or plastic foot,
but SAPPHIRE has custom brass spike which is used for anti-vibration for high
end audio components. Our brass spike is working double vibration prevention
with the design of two floors of brass with black nickel coating and
polyurethane foot.
HIGH END PULSE TRANSFORMER
FOR DIGITAL COAXIAL INPUT
To perform high end audio quality, it is necessary to
isolate signal with pulse transformer. However, among many DAC products, it is
easy to find products which very low end transformer or without transformer.
Styleaudio took the most high end transformer from Scientific Conversion for
SAPPHIRE.

COATING PCB
Using copper plate block, it is possible to isolate between
digital part and analog part, and between left/right analog output. Also 24K
double face gold coating PCB can produce the maximized performance of each
part.
CUSTOM CUTTING RCA PLUG
& FIBER OPTIC TOSLINK TERMINAL
SAPPHIRE has custom cutting RCA plug which is normally used
for very high end product and Fiber Optic Toslink from Toshiba for digital
input optical.
